All-ACC Teams Announced

The All-ACC teams came out today, with Tyler Hansbrough joining Al Thorton and Jared Dudley as unanimous selections. Rounding out the first team were Zabian Dowdell and Sean Singletary.

You really can't argue with any of those selections. I'd been leaning towards giving the fifth spot to J.R. Reynolds rather than his teammate, but Singletary has done more down the stretch for the Cavs. For the second and third teams, my main complaint is that Javaris Crittenton deserves the second-team spot over D.J. Strawberry, and James Gist at Maryland should really be on there somewhere, although don't ask me who should be left off - Gordon maybe? It's nice to see Jack McClinton and Kyle Visser especially get honors, as they've toiled in obscurity on poor teams this season.

UNC also put two players on the All-Fresman team, Brandon Wright and Ty Lawson - Wright joining Crittenton as a unanimous choice. The only injustice there is Scheyer getting the nod over Greivis Vasquez.

It's interesting that the Heels, the league's second most efficient defensive team didn't get one player on either the All-Defensive Team or an Honorable Mention lists. Says something about the team defense they're playing.
