Something even Michael Jordan couldn't sell
What does it take for the most successful pitchman in sports history to fail at selling something? Bad marketing? AN embarrassing arrest video? Any project with Rob Schnieder?
Nope.
In the case of Michael Jordan he messed with North Carolina tradition and as a result not even he could peddle jerseys designed by his Air Jordan company back in 2000. He even failed using the interlocking "NC" as the main feature of his jersey — one of the most recognizable logos in all of sports.
The lesson learned here is that you never mess with tradition ... even if you're a huge part of it.
