Men's Lacrosse a Four Seed in the NCAA Tournament

UNC's men's lacrosse team was named the fourth seed in the sixteen-team tournament yesterday, with an opening round matchup against Delaware on the 16th. Provided they win that, they'll meet either Duke or Johns Hopkins in the second round, both teams the Heels have already defeated his season. The top-seeded team is naturally the ACC champions Virginia, who have lately been in the news for more tragic reasons. Syracuse is the second seed and Maryland the third. All and all a favorable draw for Carolina.

With what’s been going on at UVA seeing how they handle this tourney will be interesting. I fully expect them to push through to the Final 4. As for playing Hopkins or Duke I’d rather play Duke. Hopkins struggled a lot this year but they have a top 4 or 5 talent level and skill when it comes to roster. We’re in that upper echelon as is Duke but Hopkins has the type of team that “if they got it together” could win the tourney.

I hope to see us in the Final Four but beating Hopkins/Duke again is no small task.
