Too much furor about nothing this week, from DeMarcus Cousins to Delvin Roe, to snow, at least where I am this morning. Time to wash it clean with some basketball.

Starting Out on Defense

John Wall is matched up with Larry Drew. Not what I would expect.

UNC is making a lot of interior passes that don’t reach their intended targets. 4 turnovers in their last seven possessions.

The 1st Half, in Brief

Just compare Tyler Zeller’s playin his two stretches of the half. The first was all rushed shots and turnovers, and the second measured play and rebounds that just needed more shots to fall. That 28-2 run was a killer, though.

Kentucky Has No Half Court Offense

…without John Wall. I can’t understand why.

Outside shots not going down and bad passes inside are killing us

And now Wall is back. Let’s see if the Heels can get their act together.

The missed free throws and fast breaks that yield no points don’t help, either.

When was the last time Carolina had a half with no fast break points?

I don’t recall ever seeing that before.

I still think this team needs Ed Davis to step up and create inside shots

He has the most ability. He “let’s the game come to him” way too much. This team needs a shot maker.

Great Charge By Graves

Just what the Heels needed, but they still can’t make a shot on the other end.

Another Thing to Note

In the late game situations, Williams puts Strickland in on defense and Graves in on offense.
