Starting Out

It’s about what you’d expect from a young team trying to run up tempo. Interesting that FIU seems content to shoot over the Heels, with little success.

Ambivalent about the centennial logo on the court.

FIU So Far

6 FG, 11 TO. Teach the defense first, and the offense will come around. Being able to block everything in the paint (6 so far) helps.

One Way UNC Is Definitely Slower

Reaction time. Both in steal opportunities and adjusting to the defense. It should improve with playing time.

Interesting

I don’t recall the Heels trying a press so early in the arson, especially with this kind of height on the floor. Ended with a 1-on-1 and a missed FIU shot, but Drew’s subsequent drive and dish was impressive.

I Will Say This

Deon Thompson is making the case that he’s now the player UNC needs this season. Frankly, I was skeptical, but if he keeps playing like this…

Um...

Inbounds play needs a little work.

A Lot of Sloppy Play Down the Stretch

The team hasn’t learned to go forty minutes yet.
